My name is Natella (which might remind you of the Italian chocolate spread Nutella). I was born
in Ukraine. Early in my childhood, our family moved to Latvia where we lived until I had
completed my 4th year of studies in economics and biology at Latvian University. We emigrated
to the U.S where I continued my education at Hunter College in New York City, graduating with
Nutrition and Food Science major in January 1993. Nutrition has been my true passion ever since!
After working at Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn as a Registered Dietitian, I realized that what
I have learned in school did not give me the skills required to produce the kind of health benefits
my patient's needed. My search for knowledge and skill that could enhance my impact on
clients health goals led to credentialled in Yoga, Ayurvedic Medicine, Hypnotherapy, Nutritional
Supplements, Movement Therapy, Meditation, and Therapeutic Breathing. I became a Master
Herbalist. I clearly see now that mental and physical wellness go hand in hand and cannot exist
apart from each other. I believe that a holistic approach leads to the best outcome for those
seeking lasting improvements in health and "healthspan"/longevity. My approach has brought
much satisfaction as I guide my clients to wellness.
I love helping people to help themselves! This includes being able to provide similar guidance
to family members (including three sweet grandchildren!)
I consider myself a Seeker of Knowledge - especially knowledge that can improve the quality of
my life and the lives of people connected to me. My greatest satisfaction comes from fostering
harmony within and among others.
I love supporting people’s desire to improve physical, emotional and mental health, fostering
longevity and quality of life. It is always my pleasure to share what I know with others.
Your Smile is my Joy!
Sincerely,
Natella Shteyman, RD. MH. CYI. PMP.
